The contract concerns the collection and transport of biowaste from properties that are responsible for organising municipal waste management. With regard to biowaste, the properties for which the municipality is responsible are residential properties with more than four apartments located in an urban area, all residential properties in an agglomeration with more than 10,000 inhabitants, and properties for the municipality's administrative and service activities. In addition, municipalities have decided to organise separate collection of biowaste from residential properties as a voluntary service in the areas specified in the waste management regulations. The contract area is the areas of the municipalities of Keminmaa, Tornio, Tervola and Ylitornio, as defined in the municipal waste management regulations, areas for the statutory and voluntary collection of biowaste.

The contract includes, at the unit prices specified in the tender, the emptying of the biowaste collection equipment of all properties and properties that are customers of the client into the collection vehicle and the transport of the waste to the reception point indicated by the client.
