Subject matter of the contract and scope of services

The district of Gifhorn is inviting tenders for the provision, maintenance, maintenance and data transmission of stationary speed monitoring systems at seven locations to monitor flowing traffic.

The execution takes place in the form of a service contract on the basis of this service description. The billing of services that are directly related to the installation of the stationary speed measurement systems is based on a fixed monthly rent payment, with which all services must be compensated.

The work that is directly related to the installation of the stationary systems is to be carried out by the contractor.

The services include, in particular, the structural planning, implementation and control of the measure. The contractor shall hand over to the client systems that are ready for operation and approved for the control of flowing traffic. The stationary speed monitoring systems erected by the contractor shall remain the property of the contractor even after installation.

The contractor acts as an administrative assistant by taking over the corresponding measures directly related to the installation of the stationary speed measurement systems by the contractor. This includes, in particular, the structural planning, implementation and control of the measure. The client remains in control of the procedure and always retains the sovereign decision-making authority.

Starting position

In order to protect public safety and order in the public traffic area, the district of Gifhorn monitors the flow of traffic in its area and plans to maintain and improve the

Road safety, the continuation of speed enforcement at seven locations in the area of the district of Gifhorn.

Currently, there are district-owned systems at the locations, which are maintained via a maintenance contract. In the future, the contractor shall set up stationary speed measurement systems at the locations listed in section 4 at his own expense.
