On the ground floor of component A, a radionuclide laboratory (RNL) of room category 2 (RK 2) according to DIN 25425-1 (Radionuclide laboratories - Part 1: Rules for interpretation) will be set up. The 1st floor of component A is used for the examination and storage of samples from the surrounding area. On the 2nd floor of building A, in addition to office use, the central installation room for the ventilation system (ventilation center) is provided. In the basement of building A, in addition to storage rooms for laboratory operations, there are rooms for building services and information technology.
In component B, on the ground floor there is a room for sample preparation for the RNL and a room for sample storage from underground with sample lock as well as a storage room for solid and liquid substances and a material lock to the shaft hall. Furthermore, the two-storey warehouse for retained samples is located there. This is accessed from the ground floor and has an internal staircase to the 1st floor.
