Under the Social Support Act 2015, municipalities are required to support their residents in the area of self-reliance and participation. Among other things, this means that people with disabilities can continue to move and live in their own living environment for as long and as well as possible. As part of this, municipalities will, if necessary, assist the relevant resident in obtaining a suitable medical aid. With the aim that the relevant restrictions can be reduced or removed and with which the self-reliance or participation will be increased.
