Description:
Planning and construction of two identical driving simulators with two single-user simulators each

The branches in Nuremberg and Bonn present interactive permanent exhibitions on the subject of visionary future technologies and artificial intelligence. New mobility concepts show great potential for urban areas. In recent years, automated driving has developed significantly and is no longer a distant future technology.

In order to be able to convey the underlying technical principles to the visitors in a clear and experience-oriented manner, two driving simulators (the players sit back to back) for autonomous driving in identical design are to be developed and created for both locations (Nuremberg & Bonn) in a uniform piece of furniture and occupy a central place in the exhibitions.

In the operation, the players are guided through the game without supervision and confronted with the described didactically prepared content in an experience-oriented manner. The planned driving simulators are a new concept. The driving simulators must be created in a version that guarantees functionality and functionality suitable for museums for at least three years with 120,000 visitors per year and an operating time of about 50 hours per week (continuous use, especially by children / adolescents). The driving simulators should fit into the existing scenery.

The implementation of the project takes place in two stages: a planning phase is placed before the execution phase. In this, the specifications of the DM are checked and detailed solutions for implementation are developed.
