The northern harbor island lies northeast of the old town of Stralsund and forms for the city the transition to the sound. Like a sort of Sund terrace, the artificially heaped up island in front of the old town lies with a free, completely unobstructed view of the vastness and the sound.
The Hanseatic city of Stralsund plans to redesign the open spaces on the northern port island and to refurbish the banks (see overview map). In this context, a subsoil investigation must be carried out with boreholes on the shore side and waterside at the bank edge.
However, it is planned to complete these investigations as soon as possible by the end of March 2020.
The construction work is expected to commence in the area of the bank edge at berth 6 from autumn 2020.
The consortium AIU from Stralsund / WES from Berlin was commissioned with the planning of the outdoor facilities and engineering structures.
A detailed description of services is enclosed with the documents. Subsoil investigations are to be carried out with holes on the shore side and on the water side at the bank edge. For this are foundations of the brewery; Laboratory services, geotechnical services queried.
