A contract for the delivery of a costing assurance programme to evaluate the costing practices of certain NHS providers.
Monitor has procured a contract for the delivery of a costing assurance programme. The programme is being undertaken pursuant to Monitor's functions in relation to NHS pricing and its objectives are to:
— Improve the accuracy and consistency of cost submissions used inform the National Tariff in order to set national, and agree local, prices for NHS services. — Provide assurance that Mental Health and Acute Providers' Cost Submissions have been prepared in accordance with Monitor's Approved Costing Guidance.
— Assess the overall accuracy of cost submissions by providers of NHS services.
