Description:
Water isotopes laser spectrometers

2 water isotopes laser spectrometers for the precise determination of isotope signatures of 18O and 2H as well as the water vapor concentration with field and laboratory periphery will be procured. The application area includes both the precise laboratory analysis of water isotope signatures from liquid and solid samples as well as the use in open ground with coupling to different in-situ gas probes and gas swabs. For the desired application, the combination of high precision, small footprint and robust design is therefore important.

For the outdoor configuration (device 1), a fully automatable 16-valve multiplexer is also required, and a precision evaporator (evaporation of liquid water samples at up to 140 degrees) is required for the laboratory configuration (device 2). An autosampler (A0325 — Picarro Autosampler) required for laboratory operation is already available and must be fully compatible with the laser spectrometers to be procured.

The Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) uses laser spectrometers for the determination of 18O and 2H isotope signatures in solid, liquid and gaseous samples. The application area includes both the precise laboratory analysis of water isotope signatures from liquid and solid samples as well as the use in open ground with coupling to different in-situ gas probes and gas swabs. Service description and requirements for the equipment:

The water isotope laser spectrometers to be procured shall meet the following performance characteristics:

— precision (liquid samples): 0.025 0/00 in 18O and 0.1 0/00 for 2H

— Drift: 24-hour drift? 0.2 0/00 for 18O and 0.8 0/00 for 2H

— Wide measurement range: 1 000 — 50 000 ppm,

— measurement rate of at least 1 Hz,

— software to identify and correct the impact of organic contamination on measurement results,

— Pairing to existing laboratory equipment required: A0325 — Picarro autosampler,

— trade-in discount of an old analyzer,

— delivery no later than 30.9.2021,

— on-site commissioning and briefing.

The submitted offer must contain:

— signed specifications,

— signed form 3.3 offer letter,

— information on the delivery time,

— performance and technical parameters of the system,

— warranty/guarantee: details of duration and conditions,

— information on expected maintenance intervals/follow-up costs.
