The city of Menden intends to award outdoor facilities and transport facility planning services for the following two sub-projects:

Subproject 1:

After the successful, energy-efficient renovation of the adult education center as well as measures to make the music school accessible, the completion of the “Green Trail” along the Hönne River, each of which was co-financed with urban development funding, and the adjacent renovation planning of the Association for Land Recycling and Contaminated Site Remediation (AAV) in the area of the former smelting plant, the outdoor area and the adjacent traffic areas (approx.

20,500 m²) in the area between Märkische Straße, Untere Promenade and the railway line in Menden. The project includes flood protection on the Hönne, traffic planning, a playground and football field area as well as a "sports island" on a lighting sports track.

Subproject 2:

The project involves the construction of two sports islands on an illuminating sports route between Menden station and Boesperde station.
