HPE Backup Hardware
The object of the service is the procurement of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) backup hardware. For this purpose, a manufacturer-specific tender with a sales competition is carried out. The acquisition serves to modernize and expand the existing backup infrastructure for all companies of the Knappschaft Kliniken network. The necessary hardware as well as the service for the integration of this hardware into the existing infrastructure, device replacement and software updates are procured. The key performance points result from the product numbers specified by HPE for HPE Components, Service & Support and HPE Installation and Startup Service. The advertised requirement is called up after acceptance by a purchase order.
The service is advertised in two variants. Variant 1 (basic service: delivery service HPE components, service & support for 3 years and HPE installation and startup service) and variant 2 (basic service plus optional alternative position: delivery service HPE components, service & support for 5 years and HPE installation and startup service). The bidders are obliged to offer both variants. The decision as to which variant is to be commissioned will be made by the KKSG after knowledge of the contents of the offer before the award decision is made.
The partner providing HPE Installation Services on behalf of HPE for the components offered must demonstrate accreditation for the components to be installed.
The contract is awarded to one of the two possible variants. The decision which variant is commissioned is made after the client has taken note of the contents of the offer before the award decision is made. The award shall include the most economical offer for the respective variant. In order to determine the economic efficiency, 100% of the valuation price according to the price sheet is decisive.
For the decision whether variant 1 (basic service: delivery service HPE components, service & support for 3 years and HPE installation and startup service) or variant 2 (basic service plus optional alternative position: delivery service HPE components, service & support for 5 years and HPE installation and startup service) is commissioned, the offers are first separately with the prices of the offers for variant 1 (basic service) and the prices for variant 2 (base power plus optional alternative position). For each variant, a separate ranking is then formed and the most economical offer is determined.
The contract is then awarded either to the most economical offer for variant 1 (basic service) or to the most economical offer for variant 2 (optional alternative position). The decisive factor for the decision is whether the financial resources provided for are sufficient.
