The Eichgrundschule, founded in 1958 as a primary school, was rebuilt in 2008 taking into account the concept of all-day care. A teaching pavilion built in 1970 still exists on the school grounds. As of the current school year 2022/23, the school has three classes, with 15-16 classes and about 310 students. In the future, the school is to be expanded to a four-tier system with an optimized all-day area. The extension is to be planned barrier-free. The topic of inclusion is also useful to consider here.
Due to the increasing number of pupils in the catchment area, the premises of the Eichgrundschule will no longer be sufficient from the school year 2023/24. The urgent need for additional classrooms will be provisionally covered by an interim building. The interim building will be constructed at the beginning of the 2023/24 school year. Furthermore, the interim building will serve as an alternative during the construction phase for the future planned structural school extension.
There is a two-stage negotiation process with participation competition according to VgV on the conditions specified in the publication and the participation documents.
