The City of Rovaniemi will put out to tender the planning and implementation of the Rovaniemi City Hall renovation project with a single procurement. Rovaniemi City Hall is part of the Rovaniemi Cultural and Administrative Centre, completed in 1988. The City Hall was designed by architect Alvar Aalto based on sketches by Alvar Aalto & Co. Elissa Architects under the direction of Aalto. Rovaniemi City Hall is a culturally and historically valuable building and a masterpiece of local work. City Hall has been in its original use since completion.

The project is a complete renovation that includes a complete renewal of building technology. The preliminary scope of the project is approximately 13,000 m2. The project will be implemented through a collaborative design and build (SR) implementation format.

The City of Rovaniemi will put out to tender the SR contractor for the Rovaniemi City Hall renovation project. The tenderer must meet all the proposed suitability requirements when submitting the application to participate. The suitability requirements are defined in more detail in the preliminary invitation to tender (Annex 1) and in the ESPD form.
