The city of Dinkelsbühl plans to maintain or repair the city fortification/wall of Dinkelsbühl.
Today's city fortifications belong substantially to the late 14th and 15th centuries, and only individual parts go back to early Gothic.
The city wall is completely preserved in its course up to approximately the height of the aisles; this is only preserved in some places.
The planned measure is divided into 3 construction or financing sections, which in turn are divided into a total of 7 renovation areas.
The total completion of the 3 construction and financing sections is planned for 2028.
The total costs are currently estimated at around €12.07 million gross (KG 200-700, DIN 276). For cost group 300, the estimate is approximately €10.1 million gross.
It is intended to commission the following services (in stages) with this tender:
Engineering structures, service phases 2 to 9 according to §§ 41 et seq. HOAI.

In concrete terms, the current planning provides for the following breakdown of measures:
1. construction and financing section = renovation area 1a = kennel wall (1a),
2nd construction and financing section = renovation area 1b and 2 = kennel wall (1b) and Segringer Tor city wall - Nördlinger Tor (2),
3rd construction and financing section = renovation area 3 to 7 = city wall Nördlinger Tor - Rothenburg Gate (3), Rothenburg Gate city wall - Segringer Tor (4), retaining wall Rothenburg Weiher to Schwarzläner Garten (5), Bäuerlinsturm (6) and Segringer gate tower (7).
The start of construction for renovation area 1a is expected for 2022. The total completion of all 3 construction and financing stages is planned for 2028.

The services are ordered in stages.
Initially, service phase 2 (preliminary planning) is commissioned in commissioning stage 1 in accordance with § 43 HOAI. The service phases 3—9 are called up in stages in the further commissioning stages. There is no legal entitlement to total commissioning.
