The city of Lahr/Schwarzwald (client) intends to re-award the postal services on the basis of a framework agreement within the framework of an open procedure (EU) according to VGV. The overall service will be awarded in three lots (Lot 1 Letter Items, Lot 2 Postal Delivery Orders and Lot 3 Printing and Mailing for the Fine Authority).

Contract duration 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2025 (2 years) with two extension options for a further year until 31.12.2027 at the latest.

Mail mailings (nationally and internationally)

The object of service is the provision of letter services.

Letter services are the transport and delivery of mail items based on the requirements of the regulatory authority for telecommunications and mail (Federal Network Agency) in accordance with § 5 (1) and § 6 Postal Act (PostG) as well as their collection as additional services.

The postal items include letters of all formats, verifying shipments (registered mail) and content-related shipments (e.g. election documents, advertising) to national and international recipients. Registered mail includes registered mail with handover, registered mail as well as registered mail with return receipt.

Postzustellungsaufträge (national)

Mail delivery orders (PZA) up to max. 1,000 grams are formal deliveries under the Code of Civil Procedure and the Administrative Act and serve as proof of notification. The contractor provides the client with the required forms for postal delivery certificates free of charge in accordance with legal regulations.
