The procurement concerns the implementation of an energy storage battery system for Kotkan Julkiset Kiinteistö Oy's properties and their maintenance services, as well as services for a reserve market aggregator.
The total power of the battery system to be implemented in phase 1 is approximately 1.3 MW, distributed among the Procurement Unit's properties as described in the invitation to tender.
The Procurement Unit has an additional procurement opportunity in the form of an option for phase 2 (estimated earliest in 2028–2029).
The delivered system must be aggregator-independent, meaning it must be possible to change the operating aggregator. The delivered system must meet Fingrid's technical requirements for energy storage systems SJV2024. The battery manufacturer (modules) must be Tier 1 or 2 (BNEF or equivalent). The system must be what is known as 'smart', operating as productively as possible considering the property.
If the candidate is not an aggregator supplier themselves, they must participate in the procurement process together with an aggregator supplier, with the partner named no later than May 29, 2026.
The procurement decision and the project's initiation with the battery order together with the selected supplier will take place in June 2026.
The minimum requirements for the procurement and the selected supplier are presented in the application form.
The planned requirements of the Procurement Unit for the competitive negotiation process have been announced in the invitation to tender.
