The Port of Esbjerg (hereinafter Port Esbjerg) wishes to build a CO2 terminal at the Port of Esbjerg for receiving/delivering CO2 from trucks and possibly railways in the future, temporary storage thereof and subsequent transfer to and from ships via quay and surrounding terrain.

The turnkey contract includes the design and construction of a CO2 terminal on port land located between Capricornkaj and Scorpiuskaj.

The CO2 terminal will have an area of up to 12,800 m2.

The CO2 terminal will receive liquid CO2 from trucks and potentially railways in the future and store this temporarily. It must subsequently be possible to transfer the stored CO2 to the ship at the quayside. All CO2 transfer must take place at constant pressure with dual connections and vapour return.

The CO2 terminal must be automated and, as a rule, be unattended by port staff. The CO2 terminal must be serviceable by truck drivers and ship crew.

It must be possible at all times with the simultaneous operation of the receiving and export system.

To compensate for heat influx from the surroundings, a system for maintaining the pressure and temperature when cooling gas must be included.

The contract for the construction of the CO2 terminal is offered as a turnkey contract based on cost and efficiency considerations
