The medical faculty of the University of Tübingen (MFT) and the University Hospital Tübingen (UKT) are planning to build a new teaching and learning center (LLZ).
Academic training and nursing professions should in future receive future-proof conditions for theoretical and practical training under one roof. In addition, the education and training of the UKT (including IT) is housed in the building. The shared use of the building should create synergy effects: shared use of the exercise areas, the library, the lecture halls and seminar rooms and the designed open spaces.
The aspects of sustainable and energy-efficient construction must be taken into account. The goal is to minimize the life cycle costs of the building.
The building should be exemplary in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency, and thus be economical.
As far as possible in terms of construction, use and economy, the building should be constructed as much as possible from renewable raw materials or recycled mineral building materials.
On the basis of an architecture competition, a building with approx. 13,560 m will be built
The property has a floor area of approx. 7 879 m
Approximately EUR 4 million gross is earmarked for the proportionate cost group 500.

Architectural services (outdoor facility planning) according to Part 3 Section 2 HOAI.
Services in service phases 2-9, as well as the following special services:
- Creation of inventory plans;
- maintenance and care instructions;
- overseeing development;
- Elimination of defects within the limitation period.
