Description:
Master Plan Water Supply BW, Engineering Services Survey, Batch2

District-by-district and municipality-specific inventory of water supply structures. Water quantity balancing. Security of supply assessment. Recommendations for action on drinking water supply. GIS data management.

Lot 7 - Districts of Schwäbisch Hall and Hohenlohe

Against the background of the "drought summer 2018" and the increasingly clear climate change, the state of Baden-Württemberg has initiated the project "Master Plan Water Supply". As part of the master plan, the contractors must assess the future development of water resources, the

to compare the growing demand for drinking water and to survey the structure of the water supply. The surveys and investigations must be carried out by the contractors on a district-by-county basis and on a municipality-by-municipal basis.

The future development of water resources must be estimated and compared with the predicted development of water demand. For this purpose, the current groundwater supply must be presented and a forecast with a time horizon up to 2050 must be made with the help of long-term observations, stress tests and climate projections. On the basis of forecasts of the State Statistical Office BW, the contractors have to estimate the population development and the future demand for drinking water, in particular. also with regard to the daily peak demand during heat waves. Future additional requirements are to be derived from the balance sheets.

Security of supply must also be assessed. In addition, data on reliability and raw water quality must be collected. From the collected data and evaluations, measures are to be derived and community-specific recommendations for action are to be developed.

The collection of the necessary structural data (extraction wells, water supply structures and pipes, supply areas) with the associated information must be carried out digitally by means of a GIS application. The results of the surveys and investigations are to be made available by the contractors to the responsible authorities and municipalities both in the form of reports per district and short reports per municipality as well as a state-wide spatial data set (GIS) and a digital map layer (GIS) based on it.

The data and results of the surveys must be entered into a project database at the Baden-Württemberg State Institute for the Environment at the end of the service provision in accordance with predefined specifications. The project is planned for a total of 5 years for the nationwide survey in the 44 rural and urban districts.

The subject of this call for tenders is the survey for the so-called "Charge 2". This consists of 9 districts, which in turn are combined into 6 lots. The start of the survey of the

2. Batch is scheduled for May 2023. A processing time of 13 months per lot is estimated for the collection and evaluation.
