Provision and installation of an automated sorting technology solution within the Cardiff Material Reclamation Facility (MRF) to identify and sort different grades of polymers and to remove remaining paper grades from End Of Line (EOL) material. Once in place this solution has to guarantee the segregation of HDPE from other mixed plastics and the removal of paper fines that have been missed by a previous manual picking process. By separating HDPE from other mixed plastics the solution will increase quality and revenue for materials sold to the market and also increase recycling rates due to capturing paper grades that currently require further processing.
