The contract is for the complete services of an engineering design manager, PRL, including coordination of ARK, RI and any other specialist consultants, progress planning, reporting to project management and general organisation to assist the builder for an optimal implementation of all phases in the project.
A project hotel shall be continually and actively used and for all documentation in the project. The project hotel is administered by the builder.
Engineering design manager, PRL, shall carry out systematic engineering design management for all disciplines within ARK, RI and any other specialist consultants. Important elements in this work will be:
— Ensuring optimal staffing of RI's engineering design group and follow-up of the use of resources through as assessment of reports and communication with participants in RI;
— Establishment and maintenance/follow-up of necessary routines/procedures;
— Establishment and follow-up of the multi-disciplinary engineering design plan and the plan for document production;
— Ensure that discipline and multi-discipline checks are carried out, including collision checks based on a BIM model;
— Ensure that all documentation is continually available in the project hotel;
— Reporting to the engineering design management/project manager;
— Any other assignments that the builder deems necessary in order to ensure optimal execution of the different phases in the project and which are natural for PRL to carry out;
— Assistance with the handover of all contract works to the contracting authority;
— Assistance with the preparation of the final settlement.
PRL must cooperate closely with the RI group and ARK and it is a prerequisite that the engineering design manager has good communication skills and is solution focused.
The PRL assignment requires that there is no dependency or connections between the person who has the role of PRL and the service provider of the consultancy services, RI.
