The successful supplier will manage all aspects of the production of a Gloucester Tall Ships Festival in 2021. Following a review after the 2021 festival, it is anticipated that the appointed supplier will undertake the planning for and provision of up to 3 successive festivals in 2023, 2025 and 2027.
The festival site location is Gloucester Docks – the site is divided into several sections and each section has a different landowner, these are: Gloucester City Council, The Canal and River Trust and Peel Holdings. The premises licence is held by the Gloucester Docks Estate Company (GDECL) a group made up of residential and business owners on the site. There are 2 museums on the site and various businesses, bars and restaurants.

II. to generate pride in Gloucester’s historic docks;

IV. to promote and involve Gloucesters’ diverse communities and local businesses;
V. to boost Gloucesters’ economy;
VI. to provide an event that gives value for money and has something for all age groups;
VII. to be economically and environmentally sustainable.
