The services and specification required by the Council is detailed in the service profile and Specification Part B for each Lot against which bids and other elements for the services will be assessed. The services are for the whole of the district of SNC.

1.2.2 The Council has considered that this opportunity is suitable for small and medium sized enterprises (‘SMEs’) and, to assist, has decided to split its services into two lots to ensure increased competition and opportunity:

• Lot 1: Tree Surgery Services,

• Lot 2: Surveying of Trees at Ground Level.

The Council intends to let a contract for the arboriculture works that come out of the annual tree inspection for all trees on land owned or managed by the two councils. This contract will cover the arboriculture work such as dead wood removal, crown reduction/thinning, pollarding, coppicing and felling. This will be a fixed price contract at the tendered charges.

The council intends to let a contract for the surveying at trees at ground level. This contract will cover and is not limited to annual surveying and reporting with recommendations. This will be a fixed price contract at the tendered charges.
