PALLAS has been established for the realization of a new multifunctional research reactor (PALLAS-reactor) and supporting facilities in Petten, North Holland. PALLAS Reactor Project (Project) is composed of several buildings and ancillaries for production and research of radioisotopes for medical and industrial applications, as well as fuel testing research facilities. The Basic Design activities for the Project are finished in collaboration with the formerly contracted party ICHOS. PALLAS now enters into the construction phase in which it wishes to contract a General Contractor.
The PALLAS Reactor Project (Project) consists of a multifunctional research reactor (PALLAS-reactor) and several buildings and ancillaries for production and research of radioisotopes for medical and industrial applications, as well as fuel testing research facilities. The Project will be realized in Petten, North Holland, the Netherlands and it is intended to replace the High Flux Reactor.
The Project includes systems, buildings and structures as well as the infrastructure to house and enable a functional and reliable production facility. Within the Project, the scope of the General Contractor consists in:
- procurement and civil/building construction works
- procurement and installation of systems & services
- procurement and finishing works
- mechanical and pre-commissioning completion
- site and construction management
- maintenance
- design activities.
PALLAS intends to closely collaborate with delivery partners (General contractor and ICHOS - overall design responsible) in the planning and management of the Project through a Joint Delivery Model (JDM). The aim and purpose of the JDM is to ensure the overall Project objectives, scope, schedule, and underlying assumptions and risks are shared and fully understood by the delivery partners and that delivery partners – including subcontractors – work together to proactively, flexibly and efficiently manage the Project towards the desired outcomes.
