Passenger screening service at Dortmund Airport

The district government of Münster is the responsible aviation security authority for Dortmund Airport in Dortmund for the performance of tasks in accordance with § 5 of the Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG).

The special powers include, among other things, the checks of passengers and baggage in accordance with § 5 LuftSiG (air passenger control service). The transfer of passenger screening service to an appropriate security service provider is the subject of this procedure.

The contract is concluded for the period from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2028. It ends automatically without the need for termination, unless the client makes use of the extension option.

The client is entitled to demand the extension of the contract under the same conditions by at least three, but no more than six months (unilateral option right). This option can be exercised by the client up to twice, so that the contract can be extended for a total of up to 12 months (i.e. until 31 December 2029 at the latest).
