Avinor shall expand central areas at Stavanger Airport, Sola (shortened SLS-USO1). The expansion consists of expanding the departure hall and storage building which has already begun, as well as expanding the arrivals and customs area (this announcement). The area of the new building is approx. 4 500 m2 divided in 3 floors of various sizes.

The roof over the expanded arrival hall shall be executed as trussed beams made of steel with a span of approx. 22 m. The roof shall be covered with corrugated steel sheets. Equivalent roof binders in the existing structure must be reinforced due to possibilities for snow piling up after the building expansion is completed.

This contract includes the delivery and assembly of prefabricated concrete structures as well as steel structures. Insulation of roof as well as roofing are subject to a different contract. The preliminary plan for implementation is in the period October 2016-July 2017.

Examples of works which may be included in the contract:

— Rigging works for the Contractor;

— Detailed engineering design of junctures shall be implemented in cooperation with the consulting engineer, construction works for buildings (RIB);

— Delivery and assembly of:

a. Prefabricated concrete columns;

b. Beams for cover structures, steel beams and concrete binders;

c. Perforated covers, including casting joints;

d. Trussed beams made of steel for 3 floors as well as new roof binders;

e. Reinforcement measures on the existing roof binders in the current domestic arrival hall;

f. Load bearing corrugated steel sheets for roof structures.

Other conditions:

— The construction area lies on the land side (white zone) during the entire construction period.

— The airport is in operations while the construction works are being carried out. Contractor must take this into account.

— The expansion will be built against the existing constructions. This will increase the degree of difficulty of construction works.

— The contractor must coordinate own work against other contracts. This involves i.a. disassembling existing structures executed by other contractors, and where the structures shall be replaced with new structures included in this contract.

— The contract includes reinforcement of existing structures where the accessibility is limited (approx. 10 m above the floor).
