The city of Nürtingen intends to completely renovate the Hölderlin grammar school in Nürtingen. The main building was built in 1978 as a South Education Center and expanded in 1981 by a two-storey extension (component D).
In 2007, a canteen was added to the building complex. Over the years, minor renovation measures were carried out on the buildings and a photovoltaic system was built on parts of the roof area. As part of the canteen extension in 2007 (meeting place), an elevator was added to the atrium of the main building.
