The Music and Congress Hall Lübeck is a multifunctional venue in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck and was opened in 1994 according to a design by GMP Architekten.
The Music and Congress Hall (MuK) has been renovated in several stages since 2016. After the concert hall and the hallways accompanying the hall and the foyer were completed in 2017, the renovation of the other event and side rooms began in 2018. It is now the turn of the so-called kitchen cube in 2021.
As part of the renovation of the property, the installed ventilation technology with its components is to be rebuilt in part during construction phase 2.9 “the kitchen cube”. The existing systems will then be optimised and adapted to the new requirements. Existing fans are exchanged for efficient EC-powered variants. Fire dampers retrofitted according to the current fire protection concept and retrofitted existing BSKs in the engine room with motor drive. New cooker hoods are installed in the part of the building and existing ones moved to new positions. The kitchen upstairs is equipped with an exhaust fan and the adjacent storage room is equipped with a single-room fan.
