Pursuant to Article 4 of the Directive (EU) 2019/883 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on port reception facilities for the delivery of waste from ships, amending Directive 2010/65/EU and repealing Directive 2000/59/EC (hereinafter referred to as “Directive”) is the tenderer, as manager of the ports of Ghent, Terneuzen and Vlissingen, obliges within its management area to ensure the availability of port reception facilities that are adequate to the needs of the ships that usually visit the ports of North Sea Port, without cause unnecessary delay of the ships.
Application of the Directive will take place for all the above ports as of 1 July 2022.
