Våler kommune (Våler Municipality) wants to establish a contract for operational leasing of iPad 8th gen. (2020) Wi-Fi 10.2'' for the primary schools and nursery schools in Våler. A price is also requested for the purchase of 710 protectors with keyboards.

Following a tender round in the spring of 2018, the contracting authority entered into an operational leasing contract for tablet PCs for schools and nursery schools, where the iPad was the device that best met our requirement specification. The contracting authority introduced 1:1 in Våler schools in autumn 2018, where we leased iPads for the primary schools and nursery schools and leased computers for students in lower secondary schools. Employees in the nursery schools each have their own iPad, while each department has a set of five iPads to be used by children in ICT related projects. This is the main every day tool in both primary schools and nursery schools and is used in the learning process.

The devices are administrated in the MDM tool Jamf School. We have developed a good structure in this MDM tool that we want to continue. Jamf school manages devices with iOS operative systems and is integrated with Apple School Manager. This tender contest therefore requests a leasing contract for iPads. The iPad must have satisfactory functionality so that the schools and nursery schools fulfil the requirements of the Kunnskapsløftet (Knowledge Promotion Reform) for use of ICT in all subjects as a basic skill, and the requirements in the framework plan to facilitate children exploring, playing, learning and creating something through digital forms of creative expression. In the nursery schools, each department still has five iPads to use in small groups. We have approx. 235 employees in schools and nursery schools and approx. 620 children at the primary school level. The combined scope will be over 920 iPads.
