Construction work as part of the project complete renewal of the Mainz Gonsenheim-Finthen tram network between the junction of Hugo-Eckener-Straße and the intersection of Weserstrasse for Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH.

Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH is renewing its tracks in the area of Elbestraße. Approx. 310 m of Vignole rail track and approx. 660 m of grooved rail track will be upgraded and replaced by 970 m of brand-new grooved rail tracks.

In the course of this, the track change Hst. Elbestraße will also be renewed and relocated by approx. 50 m. The track change consists of Vignole rail track 49E1 on wooden sleepers and will be replaced by a brand new track change of grooved rail track 60R2 on prestressed concrete sleepers.

The entire track structure will be carried out in grooved rail track 60R2 on TBS 1000 prestressed concrete sleepers. The surface between the Weserstraße intersection and Elbestraße station will be closed with asphalt and the area between the Elbestraße and Hugo-Eckener-Straße stops will be greened.

Coordination and billing is carried out by Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH. The tendered material is to be delivered free of charge to the construction site at the request of the client.
