In view of political conditions and emerging market conditions, ONTRAS as a supra-regional TSOs is faced with the cross-generational challenge of converting the approx. 7,700 km natural gas transport network partly for the transport of hydrogen and at the same time continuing to guarantee the supply of natural gas. The Doing Hydrogen project brings together producers, gas network operators and consumers with the aim of achieving a European system from 2026. To establish a hydrogen hub in eastern Germany and, in the medium term, to establish a hydrogen system with links to Poland, the Czech Republic, Denmark and western Germany. In order to maintain the supply of natural gas to existing customers in the natural gas system, general planning services are put out to tender in 2 lots:

Lot 2 FGL Bobbau-Thalheim

The project is scheduled to start in autumn 2023. Construction is to begin at the beginning of 2026 at the latest, with the planning approval decision being issued. Commissioning is planned for the end of 2026.

The general planning service primarily includes basic and special planning services (call-off is carried out on a service phase-related basis) in accordance with HOAI in the following service profiles:

- § 41 et seq. Object planning of civil engineering structures in the service phases (LPH) 1 to 9,

- § 26 Landscape planning Landscape conservation accompanying plan in LPH 1 to 4 as well as

- If applicable, § 53 ff. technical planning of technical equipment in LPH 1 to 9

for the reconnection of the lines in both lots as well as higher-level planning services.

The scope of services thus includes, among other things, planning services for pipe and civil engineering, telecommunications technology and other additional special services, such as the coordination of other specialist planners involved in the planning process, cost tracking, etc. In addition, other service components may be consulting services in accordance with Annex 1 to § 3 paragraph 1 HOAI, such as services of the environmental impact study and/or other expert opinions or expert examinations required in the planning procedure.
