With the call for tenders, services for traffic facility planning including overhead lines in accordance with § 47 et seq. HOAI for service phases 3 to 6 and for the planning of technical equipment in accordance with § 55 et seq. HOAI for service phases 1 to 6 are awarded.

(VTA) of the City of Leipzig and the municipal utilities as a complex measure the construction project Berliner Straße and Erich-Weinert-Straße of W.-Liebknecht-Platz

to the railway overpass Berliner Straße.

The urban development of the west side of the main station and the Eutritzsch free loading station south and north of Berliner Straße near the Roscherstraße junction require the transport connection of both development areas to the Berliner Straße/Roscherstraße junction in Leipzig. Berliner Straße and Erich-Weinert-Straße will have to be expanded from Wilhelm-Liebknecht-Platz to EÜ Berliner Straße, the tracks will have to be widened to a distance of 2.80 m from the centre of the track and a new stop will have to be built at the Berliner Straße/Roscherstraße junction.

Preliminary planning has already been submitted to the client.

The following planning services will be awarded in 2 lots:

- Lot1: Award of the overall planning of road traffic facilities by VTA Leipzig

- Lot 2: Award of the overall planning of the tram operating facilities by LVB

With this contract notice, Lot2 is awarded with the following services:

- Object planning traffic facility service phases 3-6 according to § 47 HOAI

- Object planning of traffic system (catenary) Work phases 3-6 according to § 47 HOAI incl. structural design for overhead line systems LPH 1-6 according to § 51 HOAI

- Planning of the technical equipment traction current power phase 1-6 according to § 55 HOAI

- Planning of the technical equipment low-voltage power phase 1-6 according to § 55 HOAI

- Special services

The construction costs for Lot 2 are currently estimated at approximately EUR 2 million net. Planning services must begin immediately after commissioning.
