The appointment of a designer for the redevelopment of the De Pluim school environment, all surrounding roads within the described project area and integration of the RWA vision within the project area.

The environment of the new primary school De Pluim is the central point within this file. This is because 3 roads (the Smedenstraat, Kragendijk and Jan Devischstraat) come together to form a node that is in urgent need of revision due to the changing context.

In addition to the junction itself, parts of the respective streets will always be included in order to obtain a global and uniform picture. The substructure is also completely renewed based on the RWA and DWA vision of the municipality. In the Smedenstraat the intention is to include the roundabout at the Carrefour with the redesign. Jan Devischstraat is taken to the traffic plateau at the Zouteschorre subdivision. The plateau is part of the implementation of the allotment. The southern arm (Kragendijk) is taken to the Isabella map. Partly due to the complete redevelopment of adjacent sports park Stadion Olivier and the necessary revision of the sewer system, the Edward Verheyestraat (up to the municipal square), Stadionstraat and Nyckeestraat are also included in full. An additional element in this file is the passage for RWA on the Carrefour parking.

The redesign involves both the redesign of the public space and a renewal of the sewerage system. The redesign must in any case take place in phases. The phasing and timing is determined in consultation with the client.

The study assignment is considered as a total assignment around the redesign of the public domain. The assignment also includes the preparation of a lighting concept and its implementation. The lighting concept is drawn up in close consultation with Fluvius. Both the functional and accent and / or mood lighting should be addressed.

The investment cost is currently estimated at EUR 4 500 000, including VAT. This budget aims at a sustainable redesign, whereby the quality objectives are achieved to the maximum. In other words, the budget must achieve a maximum result.
