The housing association Ingelheim am Rhein GmbH is planning a new residential building, Kirchstraße 4-8, Ingelheim am Rhein. The building plot is located in the mature centre of Frei-Weinheim, a few metres from the Rhine dam and accessible from Kirchstraße with the St. Michael Church from the east and from Schubertstraße with the Gustav Adolf Church from the south. The construction project includes the construction of 10 houses with 83 apartments and a living space of approximately 5,892 m². The converted space is 38,531.84 m³ including the basement (BRI (R)), the gross floor area (GFA (R)), including the basement, is 11,311.16 m². A large part of the building site is to be subjected to an underground car park. 5 of the basement buildings have to be connected to the underground car park by means of locks. 5 buildings are located outside the underground car park and do not have a basement.
The housing association Ingelheim is planning a photovoltaic system for self-power supply on the roofs of the new buildings “Kirchstraße 4" (Ki4) district. Most of the electricity generated is used by the residential buildings.
It must be possible to feed it into the public grid in times of high solar radiation. Suitable roof areas are available for approx. 700 m² of module space. Skylights, vents, other technical installations and roof maintenance stages are located within the roof area, which must be taken into account during installation. In total, the area offers space for the assembly of around 480 photovoltaic modules, which are divided into various sub-areas. The total output is approximately 140 kWp.
