The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock (HRO), represented by the Civil Engineering Department, intends to undertake the basic renovation of the Herweghstraße in the Steintor suburb.
The Herweghstrasse is close to the main train station of HRO. With 2 exceptions, the DB AG railway site is adjacent to the southwest of the entire length of the planned refurbishment. To the northeast is the residential development of the stone gate suburbs with front gardens.
The Herweghstraße, between Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße and Schwaaner Landstraße, is listed in the HRO noise action plan as a noise focal point of road traffic No. 19. The planned basic refurbishment takes this situation into account. A feasibility study/preliminary planning is available from 2018, the result of which was a recommendation for the rehabilitation of the Ferragrad with the aim of reducing noise.
The following documents are already available from this feasibility study:
Surveying, building site studies, tree appraisals, monument preservation analysis.
As a result of the feasibility study with civic participation, it was agreed to renew the way road as a speed of 30 zone with the preservation of parking areas and bicycle traffic in mixed traffic on the road.
