The plan is to carry out a thorough repair of the Sachsenbrücke. It crosses Anton-Bruckner-Allee over the Elster flood bed in the city of Leipzig and creates a central connection between the eastern and western halves of Clara-Zetkin-Park. Currently, the structure is used as a pedestrian and cycle bridge and is only used by emergency and rescue vehicles.
The listed structure is a three-span reinforced concrete girder girder bridge from 1929. The spans are 16.5 m – 20.0 m – 16.5 m, with a total width of approx. 25 m. The crossing angle is approximately 93 gon. The bridge area is divided into a 12 m wide carriageway and 6 m wide sidewalks on both sides.
The girder grid consists of 12 coved longitudinal beams, which are connected to each other via cross beams and the plate. The distance between the longitudinal beams under the roadway is 2.40 m, under the sidewalks - 2.0 m.
The structure is not in good condition. In addition to numerous concrete spalling with exposed and corroded reinforcement, there are numerous cracks up to 0.4 mm. In addition, due to severe corrosion of the bearings, it must be assumed that the statically indeterminate system is immutable, which leads to forced internal forces. There are individual cracks over 0.4 mm on the substructures. The building grade from the last main examination in 2021 is 3.5.
In 2015, a static recalculation according to DIN 1045 and DIN 1072 took place, on the basis of which the structure could be classified in bridge class 16/16 even with low degrees of rusting of the reinforcement. The longitudinal beams in the carriageway area even met the certificates of the BK30/30, but the crossbeams are not sufficiently dimensioned for the higher bridge class. Due to the corrosion process that has progressed since then, a reassessment is necessary in the course of planning.
The call for tenders will provide the basic services for:
- Object planning of civil engineering structures according to §43 HOAI for LPH 1-3 / optional LPH 4-7
- Structural design according to §51 HOAI for LPH 1-3 / optional LPH 4-6
awarded in stages as part of a negotiated procedure.
