The University of Westminster currently operates and supports a number of web-based services; one of these is an Alfresco Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS). The service is used by staff at the University to store a wide range of documents, many of which are business-critical. The University now wishes to reduce the administrative and technical burden involved in providing an “Alfresco Share” service to end users, by transitioning from operating a service, with some support from external organisations, to purchasing a managed service. This service must be robust, reliable, and secure, and have appropriate service level guarantees.
We invite suitably experienced suppliers to tender for the supply. A successful procurement will, by January 2013, deliver:
— a stable, robust Alfresco Share service with at least 99 % availability,
— a fully supported service that requires no server-side technical intervention from University staff to maintain,
— a secure environment which ensures the confidentiality and integrity of University data,
— a service that represents good value for money,
— expertise to review and deploy custom workflows developed by the University,
— expertise to guide University developers when developing custom workflows.
The estimated total cost of the contract for the whole three year period is between GBP 600 K and GBP 1 000 000.
