Expansion of existing DellEMC storage systems (ECS & PowerScale/Isilon)

As part of the project "Expansion of the existing DellEMC storage systems (ECS & PowerScale/Isilon)", the North Rhine Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVNO) is inviting tenders for the expansion of the existing, central storage system.

KV-Nordrhein operates a complex network of IT hardware, software and middleware in order to meet its goals and public mandate. Disruptions to the IT environment always mean an obstruction of KV Nordrhein operations and thus a threat to the perception and fulfillment of the assigned tasks. KV Nordrhein pursues the strategy of operating a homogeneous IT environment in order to exclude technical incompatibilities or disproportionate technical difficulties in use and maintenance, as well as interface and compatibility problems and to minimize possible risks.

In order to expand and modernize the storage infrastructure at KV Nordrhein, it is necessary that it meets the specifications and compatibilities of the environment already in use.

KVNO's IT relies uniformly on systems and solutions from the manufacturer "DellEMC" for all storage services. Detailed information on KV's storage strategy

The tender is for the expansion of the ECS systems "EX500" and PowerScale systems "F600 and A330L"

- 2x ECS EX500 nodes with 12x8TB HDD

- 2x F600, 15TB(8x1.92TB), 10GBE, IB (Infiniband-Backend)

- 2x A300L, 30TB, 10GBE (SFP+)

- 40 months ProSupport Mission Critical ("Premium Support")

(synchronized up to the existing systems)

- Installation and configuration of capacity expansion into the existing storage system
