Replacing and renovating the Van Brienenoord bridge in a safe and sustainable way with predictable nuisance, so that the bridge – taking into account the intensity and load for the coming years – complies with the laws and regulations so that the connection of the A16 remains guaranteed.

The scope of the assignment mainly consists of:

1. A newly realized western arch bridge;

2. A renovated western arch bridge to replace the current eastern arch bridge;

3. CE marking for the bridge. This is obtained by:

(a) In the eastern arch bridge: newly constructed traps, installations and movement work;

(b) In the western arch bridge: parts replaced for CE marking;

c) For the entire bridge: new control, operation and monitoring.
