Technical support services. The Authority has a requirement for technical support across the following disciplines: Structural Integrity and Airframe, Crew Escape, Propulsion, Mechanical Systems, Avionics, Ice and Rain Protection, Electrical Systems, Software, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, Fuel Systems, Mission Systems, Weapons Integration, Thermal management and Interoperability, in order to deliver the F-35 Lightning II into UK service. This will include but is not limited to the provision of independent technical assessments to support certification, safety and airworthiness management, systems integration and sustainment activities. There will be a requirement to provide and maintain a team of suitably qualified and experienced personnel who will be based alongside the Lightning Project Team (LPT) located in Abbeywood, Bristol. The team will be required to deliver to the LPTs reporting requirements and manage all necessary security, trade control and proprietary requirements as well as delivering a robust technical assurance approach. The team will also be required to work closely with other support providers.

The Authority wishes to place a contract for a period of 2 years (with the Authority having the option to extend for a further 1 year split into 2 periods of 6 months each)
