The purpose of the contract is the provision of urban solid waste collection services, road cleaning and beach cleaning services, in the municipality of Begur.

The purpose of the contract is the execution of the following benefits: urban solid waste collection services (benefit P1), road cleaning services (benefit P2) and beach cleaning (benefit P3), in the municipality of Begur.

The execution of the contract satisfies the need to provide mandatory minimum services, as provided in article 26.1.a) of the LRBRL and article 19.1.a) of Law 13/2002, of June 21, on tourism in Catalonia , such as waste collection, street cleaning and beaches.

For the purposes of the provisions of article 28 of Law 9/2017 of Public Sector Contracts, the administrative needs to be satisfied with this contract are specified in the following:

a) Reach a clean, sustainable and healthy town, so that the management and provision of these contract services will conform to the principles of action:

- Prevent waste production and support selective collection,

- Environmental commitment. Tenderers must prioritize the commitment to improve the environmental sustainability of the municipality through the application of measures such as reducing emissions and incorporating clean technologies,

- Maximum effectiveness and efficiency between the cost and performance of the services object of the contract, as well as the normal development of cleaning and collection services;

b) The City Council does not have the necessary material and human resources for the development of cleaning services, transportation and collection of urban solid waste, as its own competence, so it is necessary to hire a trained company.
