The Law 34/2007, of November 15, on air quality and atmospheric protection establishes the obligation of the autonomous communities to annually assess regional air quality. This assessment must be carried out based on the criteria indicated in Royal Decree 102/2011, of January 28, regarding the improvement of air quality which establishes the need to have fixed air quality measurement stations with very precise requirements for location, equipment, and management.


To ensure the quality of the generated data, it is necessary to have a preventive and corrective maintenance system as well as carrying out other tasks that allow for the proper functioning of all systems and processes involved in the operation of this Network.
