The project will consist of the construction of a new quay with dredging off the quay, shortening or possibly changing a breakwater to the west of the quay, development of a jetty around the filling to the south of the site and the development of the harbour area inside the quay, with the necessary technical infrastructure and roads.

The project includes the following work:

— Matter removal, both by suction/cutter dredging and flushing the matter inside the stone jetty. If not all of the dredged matter is suitable for suction/cutter dredging, other dredging methods will have to be used. The actual dredging depths will be approx. contour line -15 to contour line - 17. The amount of dredging will be approx. 100 000 solid m3,

— Stone jetty around the areas that shall be filled in. The length of the stone jetty will be approx. 400 m,

— Establishment and development of a new harbour area on land behind the quay, approx. 26 000 m2,

— Pitching against wave and propeller erosion. This applies to both the filling and dredging slopes. The pitching area can be up to approx. 15 000 m2. It is assumed that the existing pitching stones will be re-used,

— Pile driving steel pipe piles for foundations for the quay and duc d'albe,

— Construction of the quay and concrete friction plates. Friction plates are to be established for both the quay and duc d'albe. The quay shall be dimensioned for placing ship loads with an extendable telescopic conveyor belt,

— Construction of bollards on land for anchoring and shifting ships. The bollards will have to have 100-150 tons capacity,

— Removal of parts of the existing breakwater and construction of a new end to the breakwater,

— Construction of a road and a new filling,

— Establishment of the necessary infrastructure for the quay and the area, including electricity, tele and water and sewage,

— Delivery and assembly of various equipment for the quay and rear area.
