The new buildings for the MINT grammar school in Bad Saulgau are intended to house natural science rooms with school laboratories, an assembly hall for events, boarding rooms and common rooms for 196 schoolchildren, as well as the necessary ancillary rooms. The buildings should have a high level of sustainability and energy efficiency and should be constructed using the passive house method.

The spatial program includes the usage areas of the auditorium with 380 m 2nd NUF, science departments and school laboratories with NUF 1 150 m 2nd and boarding school with NUF 2 800 m 2nd .

The building costs are around EUR 18 million gross including special costs.

Sustainability certification of the construction project using the Sustainable Building Assessment System (BNB) is planned. A certificate in BNB silver is sought.

From the selected applicants, proposals for solutions to the planning task in accordance with Section 76 (2) VgV are to be drawn up, which are decisive for the selection of the contractor. These include a project study for the implementation of the desired new buildings for the auditorium, specialty and boarding school buildings within the framework of the applicable development plan. Here is the urban and functional integration in the as a cultural monument. § 2 and § 12 DSchG designated building stock and in the surrounding park-like green area of great importance. The new buildings should be examined and presented in connection with the urban development of the STEM excellence school with boarding school as a campus.

Construction is scheduled to take place from June 2023 to May 2026.

Architectural services in accordance with Part 3, Section 1 HOAI for the MINT Excellence High School in Bad Saulgau, new auditorium, boarding school and natural science rooms, services in service phases 2-8 and special services in service phases 8 and 9.
