Metsähallitus / nature services is requesting tenders for surveys and mowing work with the support of the EU CoastNet LIFE project.

The object of the acquisition is the surveys of the CoastNet LIFE project for marine nature conservation for 2020 and mowing works for 2020–2024, including the Archipelago Sea National Park, the Bothnian Sea, Hankoniemi, the Gulf of Bothnia National Park and the islands of the Gulf of Bothnia.

The acquisition is divided into eight (8) areas. The tender may be submitted for one (1) or more lots. Based on the tender, one (1) contractor will be selected per sub-area.

The subject of the contract is set out in more detail in the annexes to this invitation to tender.

The Archipelago Sea has a total of five (5) mapping areas. There are 3–15 line dives in the mapping areas, a total of 43 line dives.

The money available for the surveys is EUR 24,274 (VAT 0%).

The aim is to map the area evenly. If the bidder's bid for the number of line dives is less than the number offered by Metsähallitus, Metsähallitus will select the sites to be mapped.

There are a total of five (5) mapping areas. There are 109 to 1,132 Drop video points by sub-area, a total of 1,773.

The money used for the surveys is EUR 96,694 (VAT 0%).

The aim is to map the area evenly. If the contractor's offer for the number of drop video points is less than the number offered by Metsähallitus, Metsähallitus will select the points to be mapped.

There are a total of four (4) lagoons. 1-5 line dives are made in each lagoon, a total of 11 line dives.

The money used for the surveys is EUR 12,097 (VAT 0%).

There are line dives on six (6) reefs, each with two (2) line dives, for a total of 12 line dives. Both dives must be made from the reef.

The money available for the surveys is EUR 7,444 (VAT 0%).

In the shallow Lahti, which is eutrophic in Hankoniemi, it is planned to repeatedly mow the aquatic vegetation that has prevailed in the bay, growing below the water surface, from an area of about 10 hectares from a zone at a depth of 0.5–2.5 m in 2020–2023. Mowing waste is harvested ashore and transported elsewhere.

In Hankoniemi, the eutrophic shallow shallow bay is repeatedly mowed by the aquatic vegetation that has taken over the bay. The impact of rehabilitation measures in the area will be monitored annually in 2020–2024 with vegetation monitoring lines on the mowing area and outside it, a shoot count grid and a description of the area with a drone. The development of the amount of sediment is monitored by pipe samples taken from the bottom. With the information available from the monitoring, Metsähallitus assesses the effectiveness and impact of the rehabilitation measures and takes corrective measures if necessary.

A total of EUR 40,323 (VAT 0%) has been set aside for the work.
