Iarnród Éireann – Irish Rail is seeking suitably qualified candidates to participate in the tender process for the refurbishment of:

• two No 08 Universal Tampers 742 743;

• one No 09-2x Plain Line Tamper 744;

• one No 08 P&C Tamper 751; and

• one No RM 90 Ballast Cleaner 781.

It is envisaged that these refurbishment works shall be carried out over a maximum 4-year period and it is intended that only one of these machines shall not be available for service at any given time over the life of the contract.

The refurbishment works shall include but not limited to renewal/overhaul of tamping banks, conveying system, rewiring of electrical systems, upgrading of hydraulics, pneumatics, bogies, measuring systems, structural repairs, and painting.
