Delivery of tracks and switches as part of the project for the complete renewal of the Mainz Gonsenheim-Finthen tram network between the junction of Hugo-Eckener-Straße and the intersection of Weserstr., Mainz for Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH

Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH is renewing its tracks in the area of Elbestraße. Approx. 340 m of Vignole track and approx. 630 m of grooved track will be expanded and replaced by 970 m of brand-new grooved track.

The entire track structure will be designed with grooved track 60R2 on prestressed concrete sleepers.

Furthermore, the track change at the Hst. Elbestraße will be renewed and moved by approx. 50 m. The track change consists of Vignole track 49E1 on wooden sleepers and is to be replaced by a brand-new track change made of grooved track 60R2 on prestressed concrete sleepers.
