This call for tender concerns the manufacturing, assembling and testing of two Diamond Window Unit Prototypes. These prototypes will be a proof of concept as previous step before starting the qualification process of the component (outside of the scope of this procurement).

The window unit consists of a 1.11 mm thick chemical vapour deposition (CVD) diamond disc with a diameter of 70 mm (aperture of 50 mm for the transmission of the microwave beam) brazed to an oxygen-free copper cuff and this structure is then integrated into a metallic housing by electron beam (EB) welding.
