The Berlin-wide strengthening of the protection and support of women and girls affected by violence as well as the consistent implementation of the Istanbul Convention are goals of the Berlin Senate, which were agreed in the coalition agreement and in the guidelines of government policy 2023 - 2026.

Against this background, a multimedia anti-violence campaign is planned in the state of Berlin for the entire month of November 2023 (with a special focus on 25.11.2023, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls), which will focus on the topic of domestic violence and violence against women and girls, inform them about the contents of the Istanbul Convention and raise awareness among the general population.
