The Satcen seeks to upgrade its network switching equipment in both its classified and unclassified networks. The upgrade is motivated by the need to increase the throughput in both networks.

The Satcen is organising an open procedure in order to conclude a direct supply contract for the acquisition of Extreme Networks switches and all necessary hardware and materials for putting the new switches into operation (i.e. chassis, fan trays, power supplies, connecting equipment, etc.).

The contractor is expected to provide associated services (i.e. delivery, installation, configuration, start-up, testing and a 3-year technical support and maintenance service for the acquired switches) by deploying sufficient and adequate manpower and tools as needed. In addition, the contractor shall provide technical support and maintenance service for Satcen’s current switching equipment for a 12-month period, as of 1 November 2023.
